RESTRICTED GIVING POLICY
GenRising is a registered Canadian charity (registration no. 832411094 RR 0001) that relies primarily on generous donations from supporters who believe in our mission and vision. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of financial transparency and stewardship.
Donation Receipting
In accordance with Canadian tax regulations, GenRising will issue official tax receipts for all donations made to Generation rising.
Gift Ownership
Under Canadian charitable law, once a donation is made to GenRising, ownership of the gift transfers from the donor to our charity. As such, GenRising cannot provide refunds for donations. Upon receipt, our governing documents require us to use all gifts to further our charitable purposes.
Designated Gifts
GenRising welcomes donations designated for specific programs or projects. We will make every reasonable effort to honor donor designations. However, in cases where a designated project becomes fully funded, is completed, or cannot proceed for any reason, GenRising reserves the right to redirect these funds to other similar initiatives or areas of greatest need within our charitable mandate.
Fund Allocation
At least 80% of your donation will directly support GenRising's program activities. A maximum of 20% may be allocated to essential administrative and fundraising costs. These administrative expenses enable GenRising to fulfill its mission effectively, implement strategic plans approved by our Board of Directors, and serve our communities with excellence and accountability.
